These Quicklinks activities have been developed specifically for learners of (academic) English. We were encouraged to create them by Peter Crosthwaite at The University of Queensland; they are included in his open-access online DDL course Improving writing through corpora: Data-driven learning? developed there. This course aims to introduce students to ways of using corpora – specifically the BAWE corpus, hosted on Sketch Engine – to check and improve their writing.
